The following is an interesting story that i read from someone's bulletin in my friendster. Its about believing in God.
Read on...
teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn'tafraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away.
As she walked along under the tall elm trees,Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a shortcut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he was waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling ofquietness ands ecurity wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely.
The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley justtwenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the policestation. She felt she could recognize the man,so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing tol ook at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified,he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her."
Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. Did you know that 98% ofteenagers will not stand up for God?
felt that it was interesting... wad are yr thots after reading the story?? tag it out.. =)
Today is my mom's birthday. 3rd Dec. Our entire family will be heading to Malacca tml morning at 630am. Its a day trip organized by my dad's office. Will take some fotos and show u guys where we went and wad we did. I haven uploaded my family foto which we took just nw while cutting cake and singing birthday song to my mom. Will do so tog with the Malacca trip fotos after tml. haha. kinda lazy la.
Went to expo earlier this afternn on 2nd Dec. Expo was darn crowded. Wanted to walked ard the John Little fair and buy smtg. In the end, the paying queue was so threatheningly long that we decided not to buy anything. So we headed to the Sitex Fair. As usual, lots of state-of-the-art gadgets that boys want and girls are not so excited abt... hurhur... (ok, tats a sweeping statement, sorry. haha) My dad got a LCD monitor and keyboard. The rest of us went home empty handed.
My laptop is kinda going bonkers. It just started a physical dump on me just now TWICE!! I noe smtg is gg wrong liao. Immediately backed up everything that I just loaded into my laptop in the past week against my external hard-drive. Really hope everything is ok. I'm like performing one function at the time now, in fear that doing too many things at the same time will make my laptop pissed off and just die on me.
ok well, i shall go and slp now. I gotta wake up at 6am and leave the hse at 630am to drive to my grandma's place and fetch her. (She's gg the Malacca thing with us too btw.)
p/s: good luck to u jy. ur exams are finishing soon. =)
