Went for the NDP Preview today! cos my sis managed to get Tickets!! Lovely. The weather was quite screwed actually but thank God it stopped raining, so we left for marina bay at 3pm.Upon reaching....
we had to undergo some intensive checks. For a moment, it looks like the airport to me, with all the machines and gantries... scary.
Look at this!! Isnt it bEautiFul???? Fantabulous view. hurhur. so exciting!! heee. Sorry ah. alot of things that u are gg to see are taken from the screen, cos as you can tell. i'm quite a distance away to get a clear view of anything. haha.
Before the parade starts, amongst the emcee include annabelle francis, belinda lee and daniel ong. i cant rmbr the name of the malay and indian emcee. They introduced the crowd to our "singing" companions, aiya basically these pp are ard the place to garner the crowd and push our enthusiasm.
But he looks a lil freaky to me. duno wad sea creature is he. there was this crab that was like acting cute and talking. so my sis was like commenting, "crabs dun talk" lol.
The dimsum dollies were also there to dance and sing for us. They sang moments of magic.
After which in order to hike up our mood there was this dragon boat competition which the different seating sectors are supposed to cheer for their teams. Then there was more singing!!
There was very cool hip hop and rap singing by Shek and some pretty cool malay grp. nice rendition of national day malay songs.
Then there was sopranos. for a moment i tot i was in the wrong place.... hmmm
Then there was group dance and singing.
And more singing. hahaha.
Balloonies!!!! Cute and LARGE..... hurhur.
The parachuters!! So cool the formation!! The crowd was really edging them on! way to go!!
Then there was dancing by the Singapore Dance Ensemble. They were dancing to some classical version of National songs. Soon it was my FAVOURITE!!!
MEN IN UNIFORM!!! Melt** This is actually to me the highlight of the NDP hurhur.. i simply love this segment, i usually go and eat dinner aft tat then go back to the tv to see fireworks or peep out of my grandpa's home to see fireworks.

time for the National anthem. so long nvr sing. so nostalgic. can cry lo.. sniff*
The "figher planes" creating the total defence sign. one thing's for sure. They were really LOUD.
March out. Neat and............... shuai. hahahaha (let me indulge a bit like darba?) Then there was display of wad the SAF has ready to protect singaporeans, which include...
scary army guys that pointed their gunnies at us. hehe kidding. they seem tough tho... There was an impressive display of land, sea and air armed forces. Look out for that! They even have commandos jumpin of the shears bridge and helicopters saluting us! haha. real neat stuff.
the parade finally started as u can tell its turning dark. of cos when it turns dark lightings play a vital part.

More performance as time passes.
This was the finale. sorry a bit blur cos i ganchiong waitin for the fireworks. Sorry ah there is no foto of fireworks cos only the video was nice. the fotos. nah nah... no good. haha. see on tv okok? hehe.
I really enjoyed myself today. First time in 21 yrs of my life see NDP somemore in new place. hee. happy. got free goody bag also. i requested for the red one (expected i noe, cos its my fave) So happy also cos most of the people are wearing tops in my favourite color. RED!!! wads not to love abt national day. its a holiday on the actually day is self too and this year it means i got 4 days free! cos friday i dun have sch.... bleah.
I LOVE NATIONAL DAY & SINGAPORE!!!!!! MUACKS!!! AND I'M PROUD TO BE A SINGAPOREAN!! (regardless of all the nasty stuff we can do) hahaha....
