went to watch 12Lotus today with darling. 12 Lotus is actually a very famous Hokkien song. There are 12 chapters to the song, and hence 12 lotus. It is actually a very sad song, cos it depicts how ke lian a girl is throughout her entire life.

***SPOILERS***

It is a story abt a girl who grew up wanting to sing and believing wholeheartedly in the Goddess of Mercy, from a young girl (who is quite a reputable Getai singing kid) she grows up to be Mindee Ong who acts as the young Ah Hua (Lotus sister). A series of unfortunate events took turn and she shuns away from public for 20yrs growing into a mature lady acted by Liu Ling Ling (former Getai singer, and now famous Getai emcee cum actress). Even as Ah hua grows, she still encounters very unlucky events. The movie line plays along side by side the song 12 Lotus aka chup zi lien huay (in hokkien). Thus throughout the movie, the 12chapters seems to be reading of Ah hua's saddening and unlucky life.

All in all, I prefer 881 to this movie though it was also a nice movie. I think its worth the weekday movie charges but not the weekend's. But if you like 881 and you are familiar with the chup zi lien huay song, this could be the movie jus to watch.

Its quite a gloomy day today. And its not jus the weather. I was the only G2 around in the office, so I was pretty lonely. I decided not to date anyone for lunch today, I jus wanted to be alone. So I bought a packet of fruits to savor. And slowly walked around raffles exchange, window shopping. Can’t physically spend money, need to wait for payday which should be tomorrow. =) Thus, then I returned to office to do my sudoku. Quite happy.

Basically today is jus really rotting in the office. I’m jus sms-ing people and emailing people. Damn nuah. Booked tickets to 12 Lotus later at GV Max. Since I was like damn free, I went to the AXS machine which was at the station to collect the tickets. Then bought pearly milk tea to drink. Damn nuah.

And so now, I’m back in the office. More rotting to come and its only 3.45pm. Omg. There is like 1hr 45mins left before knock off. Sian.
