Our new room
Posted by Sunday, May 02, 2010 5:37 PM with 0 notes | add more notes

I have officially spent my first night at darling's new home. haha. Cos we stayed up till 5.30am to pack and set up some furnitures.
Time really flies, from the time we saw our room and start to make plans. We went from painting to buying furniture. Today, the room is more or less done, other than buying bookshelves, hooks and other misc items.
So here's a recap:
The original condition of the room. 3 white walls and 1 red wall. Tons of nails in the walls. Had to plaster all the nail holes and paint the red wall white before we paint the room in the color that we wanted.Literally slogging my ass off.....
The red wall was finally painted white.

And we finally started to paint it a tiffany green. "camera too good, wall is not true to color". haha..

darling.... also working his ass off haha... or tummy maybe.
After the painting works has been done. We moved our things in. Unfortunately we had no furnitures at all. Not even a bed frame. So darling was staying with me for a couple of days before we headed to IKEA to buy the furnitures we needed.

Some of our loots from IKEA. Total bill was like $900 or something.
And so after a longggg night of setting up the furniture and packing... I'm proud to say I can make a small reveal of how the room is like now =)

Left to right: Magazine basket from spotlight ($14.90), white mat ($2.90), transparent sorter ($2), 4 drawer shelf ($169), chair ($11.95), mirror ($29).
Here's to show my packing skilllzzzz: haahaa

First drawer: darling's more frequently worn tees.
2nd drawer: sorted undergarments, socks and sports guards. This man has damn ALOT of underwear. haha

3rd drawer: My clothes and undergarments with a scented candle.
4th drawer: My towel and japalangs.
I think I'm quite a good packer eh... haha. BHB.
Finally the overall view of what is ready in the room:
Table, bed frame - IKEA. Quilt and fitted sheet set - Metro. Decal - ez-decor. Customised clock - hourstyle. Curtains - ...... my mother's. haha.
Unopened shelf, occasion table - IKEA. Plasma TV - Courts. Fan - NTUC Extra.
Notice that all the furnitures are white, cos we like to keep the room clean. =)
well that's all for the moment. Once the walk-in is ready I will blog about it again. Hee..
