TGIF finally
Posted by Friday, February 03, 2012 2:17 PM with 0 notes | add more notes

It's finally friday. Amazingly, this week has been a quick week but that's not all due to good reasons.
Work is increasingly piling up at my desk, I'm beginning to throw out some simple work to my temp staff to help me do, like reconciliations etc.
Went for a short meeting this morning with my VP and she prep-ed us that it is going to be a really tight deadline to running our system live, so every milestone is crazy important. When I heard that I kinda freaked out. My scope in revenue is like the size of Europe can... how to do up everything by 10th Feb. gawd. Well then she went on to mention that it is very likely that we will have to come back to work on weekends just to load data into our new system, so that we can go live smoothly in june. chum liao.

Well obviously, I cant go away on a holiday in May, probably have to wait till July or Aug for a short trip. If I can tahan I think I will jus tong till Dec when hopefully by then we have comfortable amount of savings to bring ourselves to San Fran/LA.

Savings. This is a very important thing now. After all, we just got married, got a place, did the reno, bought furniture and fittings, blah blah blah. That is alot of money, so now we are working hard to fill up that large hole. But grocery shopping isnt very kind to us, we go and go and go to ntuc/giant/coldstorage/anyothersupermart like its free. But the good thing is all the food that we bought are spread over several meals, so there is actual savings. We seldom dine out nowadays (as compared to the past) and we usually cook or eat at my mom's or attempt to attend every dinner that Hubby's aunts organize to freeload. Ha!
At the end of the day, shopping is the biggest evil. I havent been buying anything for myself except for sale items and also some stuff from motherhoodforum for noah, bestie and myself. I don't shop outside anymore except Daiso, spotlight and expo sales. I must say, I can control pretty well when I want to. *proud*
I've even started a blogshop, well obviously not much publicity, hence not much biz. But essentially at least I got it done up. I'll leave the rest up to God. =)

Anyway, TGIF everyone! Enjoy the weekend! Here's my list of things to do:
- Get a new Karcher hose
- Get my free vacuum
- Go temple pray
- Meet my girls + their other halves for CNY lunch
- Wrap presents + make birthday card
- Bake
