Farewell dinner for Fi

When I first met Fidelia, she was helping me out with my insurance policies. As time passes by, our relationship has evolved to becoming good friends.

This girl will be leaving on 10th feb for Sydney to pursue her law studies (mad brave girl, no perm accomodation still jus leaving like that), so hubby and I invited her over at our place for a farewell dinner.

I made (clockwise from top right): drunken prawns, chicken with cashew nuts and bell pepper, pork loin with preserved mustard, xiaobaicai with shitake mushrooms. Everything was wiped clean *beams* my food is edible! haha. Ok its better than edible *haolian*

CNY has sort of come to an end (at least for me), the thought of the next PH will only be in April is sian max. Need to find entertainment every other week.

On a random note, cant help but feel that my walk in looks like part of a private home not HDB. fwahaha.

Havent been sleeping very well lately. I kinda wake up at like 3am and/or 5am, before I can get into REM sleep, the alarm rings at 710am. -_-'' not sure why I'm waking up in the middle of the night for, I dont have the urge to go to the loo also. When hubbs fetch me to work, I fall aslp in the car and have the biggest reluctance to leave the car when I arrive at terminal 2. On top of that migraines are occuring pretty often, almost like weekly now, ugh, irrits max.

Going for facial tonight, hopefully I can catch some sleep. zzz

I've never seriously had any or many resolutions cos I really doubt my ability to keep or fulfil them unless they have something to do with prada or shopping. haha. Nonetheless, I have a few simple resolutions for the year 2012 and hope I will be able to fulfil them in the next 357 days!

1) Pay off anything and everything that we owe by 2012 Q3 minus reno loan.

2) Save and Travel to Taipei, KL and USA

That's basically it. haha. Simple and to the point.

I'm hoping to focus more on people who are more deserving of my time and effort. Ah bird's birthday and party planning and card making services are no longer voluntary. I figured I spent so much time and moolahs but in the end the returns are much lower. I'm not going to point fingers and I'm also not gg to care if they know. What matters is I know who I should be giving my time to.

Hello 2012! It's both happy and sad to be back home. Happy cos I miss home and I miss my family and friends. I'm obviously sad to leave my shopping haven.

Taipei has been fantastic! Its like omg. From the countdown, food to shopping! Everything was great! Before I'm back, I've already declared on fb that I would like to return to taipei again. And it seems like a second trip is going to happen in the 1st half of 2012! yay!

Nothing has been crystalised at the moment, the plan was that me, mich and mom (the 3Ms) will go on a girls only trip! how fun is that?! It is going to be such an experience! Hopefully, the trip will happen during the 1st week of May (Labor day week) when adrian is on his last week of reservist (yes... again) so that I wont feel so lonely.

It's good to go away with mummie, cos she can pack my luggage for me. wahahaha! I'm still a mummy's girl and always will be!

2011 has been on an overall a good year. Time flew by and there so many things has happened, so many lessons to learn and so many people to be thankful for. Here's a look back at some events that happened in 2011.The first most important people are my family. We thoroghly enjoyed a family vacation in Jan this year. The 6 of us had lots of fun, travelling without them is never the same. I'm thankful for everything everyone in the family has done for me and also for adrian for our house and the wedding and this includes my extended family as well, jie, xyy, godma, iskee etc.

We also celebrated Vivie's 2nd birthday in Jan. This smelly girl is getting nottier by the day and still ever as cute. Hopefully one day she will be less fiesty. Love her to bits.

March marks CAG's financial year end. It also marks my first anniversary with CAG! which also translates to my first bonus received as well. Thankfully, God was good this money came in good time to allow us to buy our very own love nest. =)

There 2 persons in the family who turns 21 this year. Welcome to adulthood mich and ah ngai! Both events were crazy enjoyable. Purple theme and uniform theme respectively.

Well I couldnt get any luckier by balloting 6 tickets for National Day this year. Wasted 1 tix cos my father was a lazy bum bum who didnt want to go. tsk him.

Adrian and I had 2 photoshoots in total this year. One from Di Gio, the other with Inspiration Photography's ex photographer. Photoshoots are really really tiring, got to smile non stop and take photos non stop and walk non stop in 5 inches is no easy feat. But looking back at all my picts, I wouldnt mind doing all over again.

In the meantime, the house was crazily under renovation. Of cos we burst our budget, but it was worth every single penny. We received lots of compilments for the house and we are very thankful for people who have helped us along the way of the reno and the move in.

Grandma turns 80 this year too! May she live long and prosper! haha.

Ning got married this year. She is the most relaxed bride I have ever encountered in my life! Cool as a cucumber during her wedding. haha. One of hubby's good friend Jin yuan got married this year as well.
Victoria also turned 8 this year. Iskee held a barbie themed birthday party and naturally the people in the family are the only ones who looked like they fitting the theme. Gua, we look damn funny. Baby Shania turned 1 this year. Love love love this little girl! She is so independent and cute max!
Back at office, we had CAG's first D&D. I'm very thankful to be able to work in one of my favorite places in the world, the airport. And my colleagues are all super nice people!

Received really great news one fine sunday morning. =) I will never forget this day, it was the start of my journey to becoming a godmother. Hello lil pea my godchild.

Had a photoshoot with the girls to commemorate our 10 years of friendship. Shirley couldnt make it as she was out of town. Hopefully we'll all be able to take another photo together. Yes I know I owe you girls the photo, will make a copy and pass to you girls soon!

Had a most fantastic hen's night. Thanks to xyy, jie, mich, jieying, estelle, ning, shirley and fang. Though I manage to keep my sanity, I was very high and It was the first time I merlioned after clubbing. How can anyone drink so many things in a span of 2 hours? Even my body cant digest it into pee to purge it out and had to go out by puking. ha.

The most important day of my life in 2011 has got to be 20.11.2011. This is the day I changed from Miss to Missus. I got the wedding I've always wanted packed with 4 gowns, 3 pairs of shoes, lots of love, so many photos and tons of love and well wishes from everyone who are important to us. It was perfect. 2 short weeks later, hubby decided to have a housewarming in a bid to drive me nuts. I had to cook and entertain. Very tired leh. On the same day, we also gave my mom a surprise. All of us in the family were dressed in green cos it was my mom's fave color! Everyone was super onz!

Held 2 xmas gatherings at home. 1 with the girls and the other for my kpmg friends

On Xmas day itself, went for Iskee's house warming and rushed home to make cupcakes for Jie's surprise.

Today, as I am writing this entry, I jus want to say Happy Birthday to Ms Elyzabeth Cheah aka me myself and I. It is my 1st birthday as Mrs Teh and I don't think anything has changed except for my age and possibly my weight. haha.

Unlike when I was a kid, I've always wished for material things or great academic results. But as I grow older, the only thing I've increasingly I've ever wanted was for the people around me to be safe and happy and to stay with me.

I'm leaving for Taipei tomorrow to countdown. May 2012 be as great if not more fantastic than 2011. God bless everyone (family, new friends, old friends) and may we never forget the people whom we love who are no longer with us today.

Xmas has come and gone and soon we'll be saying goodbye to Year 2011. This year has been a great year, so many milestons and mad happy events has happened.

Went to Marga's church on xmas eve to watch a musical and have lunch at her place. I'm glad I made the effort to go to for this event, other than the fact that I love musicals (live band esp). This has been one of the good ways to reciprocate the kindness and friendship Marga has for me. =)

Googled around to see if I can find good 5D itineraries to Taipei and I chanced upon this blog called "5 Days in Taipei"

The author asks readers to help her find 50 cool things to do in Taipei in 5 days (in accordance to her guidelines of cos!)

I find this method of travelling very interesting. Perhaps I should let go of the shoppaholic in me and give this way of travelling a try. After all, who doesnt like surprises? (positive ones that is.)

Have not been blogging for more than a month! Gosh time flies by. Been really busy in the month of november. Renovation was completed. We prepared to move to our new home. Papi and I are officially married too! House warming was held a mere 2 weeks after the wedding (the husband is trying to kill me). That also explains why I'm still busy till now.

I had a BLAST on my HEN's night. My girls were FANTASTIC, everyone turned up! Even my sisters and my aunt!

CAG D&D

CAG didnt have a d&d last year, we had a family at Universal Studios. This year we finally got a D&D....but I must say I was pretty disappointed.

The theme was blast from the past, so basically anything and everything that was from the past is ok. Retro. Smurfs. Blah Blah Blah. So wad's wrong with having a theme? There's absolutely nothing wrong except for the location.

We held it at Wavehouse, Sentosa... -_- not exactly the ideal place for anyone to have a theme party, cos people will either come in the theme (and sink into the sand in their heels) or dress to the locations, i.e. t-shirts and shorts.

The food was not worth the money in my opinion. But I think Sentosa probably has some restrictions as to which caterer they can hire. but... oh well. not great.

But it was overall still pretty enjoyable because of the company I have. My colleagues are always fun. Here are some pictures from the night. Taken by Jackson.

Checked with AVA and we dun need a permit to bring quite alot of blooms in.

Everyone's been excited for me about my wedding. Whereas I seem to be meeting hurdles along this way down the aisle.

Really thankful for people around me who care and are sincere about sharing my happiness with me. So here's one tiny part of thank you: (of cos there are so many people to thank this will not end)

1) hubby teh. Helping me with the budget along the way and fetching me to run errands.

2) Michelle. Her kaypohness turns out very helping when I need to do craft stuff.

Well not much help from her but at least her equipment was veri good. haha. Btw that's my guestboard, didnt want a guest book, cos I want to bring people's well wishes and put it in my new home.

3) mummy. For being enthu and reminding me things to do.

4) Xyy. For being always helping me out when I need it, like my angbao box and offering to make tangyuan for my big day... etc.

She also put in effort to buy new shoes (this is her highest pair by far!!), perm her hair, highlight her hair. All to get ready for my big day. Thanks xyy!!

Day 3 - End of hacking

Went to our place yesteday to see the end of hacking works. Tiling will commence next..

All our tiles have arrived together with piles of cement/soil everywhere... The house already looks bigger without all those fixtures and false ceiling.
Still horrible looking kitchen with a worker taking out the pipes.

Hubby was on leave today to do a couple of things which included going to our new place to KLKK the 1st day of reno.

Having deep thoughts on whether I should change the windows+grills or the main door+gate. Obviously, the former is more expensive considering how many windows I have at home.

The current windows looks ok, we're removing all the laminates from the windows, do some repairs here and there, put some oil to remove the rust etc.

As for the doors, the look cracked to me and the gate is like 1975. I really wonder if the doors + gates belong to Town Council, i mean after all its fire proof and all that, will they change for me?? Wahaha.. cheapskate, but hey its money after all.

Looking forward to end of the 3 days of hacking and noisy works. More photos till then!!

Yup! We've got our house keys!

We are gonna do some prayers and offerings on friday morning, while waiting for the laminate people to come to take measurements, we'll pop by a old school cake shop to check out 喜饼. After that we'll go meet our ID to further confirm stuff and buy lights and toilet accessories! It's going to be an awesome friday. =)

Breakdown or Meltdown?

Full blown drama on sunday when we went to chinatown with my mom and sis to buy things for Guo Da Li, my mom bot everything needed for my jia juang. And so I thought since dowager does not know any single thing about Guo Da Li, I decided to help her just buy some of it.
In the midst of it all, there was a phone call from her to ask about dinner but somehow it deviated to Guo Da Li and she got so ridiculous that adrian threw his tantrum in public. I was mad paiseh.

She thinks that all the guy side need to do is to give pin jin and roast pig then tadah, done! A bit the shameless ba, minimally need to hui li (return the "blessing") with some items and prepare the wedding cakes. The worse part is she is not going to fork out any money for it. So adrian has to pay for everything else which ultimately comes out from my fucking pocket. What's the fucking diff? If she doesnt want to contribute anything, I dun see why she should be given the right to SHOUT and SHOUT about what she thinks the whole thing is about.

Drama again on Monday, my period came. I was super suprised as my last period was like 3rd Sept?? My period usually comes every 35-40 days, not 20 days! It appeared to be like the normal mens, except this time there was a large clot and no cramp! (I should be happy!) Then I went home, it stopped. Period.

With a splitting headache and slight fever, I decided to see a doctor on tuesday. After a pretty long consultation and blood test, went home with an MC. Watched SATC in the afternoon wishing I could run away from all this turmoil in my life. Currently got to pend for the results of the blood test.

Went down for dinner with his family, saw hubby and his mom arguing at the carpark. She really you wan mei wan, she say adrian has said his piece so now is her turn. She really cannot let go of the past and she must say until she win. I really cant stand her.

Today's wednesday. It's the day i've been waiting for. We're getting our keys today. It was supposed to be a mad exciting event but instead I think I have lost that thrill already... Fuck her for Fucking with my Life. TQVM.

Friday Fears

Realise that I have this tendency to wanna write longer entries with fewer pictures recently. i think I may have lots of bottled up feelings and complains which I am afraid to express it out to anyone. That's the problem with me. I don't share problems but I'm a very good listener.

There is not a day I go about without wondering if everything will be ok in the end. The preparation and the finances (of cos the latter contributes to like 99%, since i'm a born planner).

Was writing some of the invitation cards last night, everything felt so surreal. I mean this is it! After 2 months so much is going to change. I hope with all these events in life, the one thing that I can keep constant is the positivity and perserverance in life to face challenges no matter how they come to me.

Had a bet with hubby last night haha. It is quite a funny bet. For every 1kg I lose he will give me $200. but if I gain it back I got to pay back $250. Diao. -_-''' Hence, forth from today is liquid and grass. May I have the determination not to look like ban mian, beef and yakult. (Fml, I love those stuff) But I will at least try.

Was lamenting to Li ying yesterday that I was so tired and sick of getting "arrowed" to do things for my boss. I've missed also what would have been my promotion to the next level of AFM. I wonder if I would ever be appreciated, it's days like this that brings me back to those horrid kpmg days. Li Ying was advising me that should I not be promoted the next round, I should leave CAG. I do feel that she is somehow in a way that she did voice out what I could not bear to say because I love working at the airport...

Received my copy of Simply Her from the mail yesterday. On the cover was Jamie Teo, beauty queen and owner of cupcake shop twelvecupcakes. Read about how she managed being a mummypreneur, makes me wonder why I cant step out on my own to have a biz and i'm only look at 1/2 of her title, which is, the entrepreneur in mummypreneur..

As much as I would have to have my own business, this solution is not feasible for now especially financially. We have a solemnization and wedding to pay for, a reno loan to pay for as well. There isn't much left after that for honeymoon, let alone for a business.

But I will promise myself that I will not give up and will continue to try to venture out as an owner of my own business. Hopefully it can help me one day put enough food on the table for my family (yes! eventually) and leave working at the airport for good and without regrets.

Till then, its back to tons of emails, paper work and some exercise for everything else that's about to happen in my life.

14/11/2011 and 20/11/2011 are going to be 2 milestones for us. We are going to move to our home and get married respectively!

Alot has been going on recently for all aspects plus work. Work has been pretty crazy. Lots of arrowing from the boss. X_X. A small progress with the wedding, but at least managed to confirm some quantum. Hope the stupid mass wedding will not jeapardize the guest count. I will faint. I also prepared some photobooth props (made by our loving hands). Still stuck at emcee, wedding car. Plus not sure if I want to embed music into my montage, if so, need to go and pay for license for that song. hmmm........ how?? Guo Da Li things are not done yet, will do so after the food tasting session on 2/10. (previous day is ning's wedding, i'm having banquet for 2 days.. burp!)

As for the house. For reno, we have confirmed layout, wardrobe look, tiles light and electrical points, materials for cabinets in the house and aircon location. I've received the 3D drawings as well but its has been finalised yet. The ex owners will be moving out 1 week from now. =) We'll be going down to put in new lock for the gates and then 2 days after will officially offer prayers, open doors and do some personalized hacking. ha! Very anticipating! On the same day, the flooring guy will be coming to do some site measurements for our laminate floors and we could be meeting our ID to pick out sanitary accessories and lightings. AFter that, let the reno begin!

So much to do and I'm refusing to part with responsibilities because I fear that people will not get things done the way I want or even done at all, both of which are proven fact. As kimora lee says, "if you want to get some done right, you have to do it your damn self". this is exactly how I feel and this is also the same reason i feel so much stress and has disturbed sleep every night. Pls dun let me be an ugly bride! tolong!

Another small step

I have finally set up and events page for our wedding to get rsvp from friends. This should give me a good month or so to confirm my first round of guests before I invite the second round.

Quite a few things hang on the guests pax. For one, there is the number of tables which I will need to confirm with the hotel. Secondly, I need those numbers so that the hotel can prepare the wedding favors to let me bring home. And of cos, we also need this confirm list before I can send out the formal invitations.. did i mention they were very ching chong? oh well.

Looked at the time line today, realised that emcee, bridal car and montage are like the top 3 things stuck undone. There is of cos the most worrying one that is file marriage which we have not done because we need to meet our JP before she allows us to file.

As I am typing all these, I am increasingly getting frustrated with my hair. It is a long grassy black moss waterfall. Yes, it is that bad. It is bad in a way only brides and ex-brides (maybe except shirley) will understand. ugh.

And I also realised I was supposed to bring another 2 files to work (in a bid to clear my mess, my cubicle is my storeroom for all things educational) and i totally totally forgot. It was just right in front of me and I missed it. Seriously case of retardism.

Before I sign off, just want to wish our dear friend fang a really happy birthday. Before you know it, you'll get there. =) We'll be there with you all the way. xo. Happy 26th!

Another milestone for us

yay we finally bought the shell of our home! We are officially owners starting 22/8/2011. All it merely took was 5mins at HDB. -_-''' to sign 2 papers, pay pro-rated property tax and that was it! so fast.

I have also confirmed the renovation works with our ID/contractor to begin renovation on 26th Sept (ex-owner moves out on 21st Sept) and the projected timeline for completion will be 11th Nov (11/11/11 omg good date lor). If so we will prepare to move in on 14th Nov (auspicious day) for 3.5 days in a row, then the rest of the week will be to prepare for the wedding!

Whilst the place is being renovated, I really have to be diligent and prepare all the necessary things for the wedding, so that when the house is ready I can move in peace knowing that everything else has been taken care of. Me knowing me, I think I can do it all.

My only worry is that me being me I will be so into the packing,moving, unpacking and doing so much, that I forget to rest. I definitely don't want to look like a zombie bride. ha. better do mask while i'm packing and moving, blocks dust and moisturise facial. Perfect!

But of cos during this time, I'm also working and the company is undergoing a major change in our financial system. Being one of the managers from the revenue team, I have been warned that I may need to stay over during weekends to help complete this implementation. ugh. sibei sian.

Anyway, wedding matters at the hotel has also been settled, except for number of guests attending the rom and banquet, soft copy of 2 wedding protraits, preparing wedding favors. And yes, we have not file for our marriage yet, we are at the mercy of our solemnizer, who will only allow us to file the marriage after we have met with her

Till then, pray hard for me that I have the strength and finances (and still have the beauty) to get past 2011. Huat ar!

Being thankful

Slowly but surely, things are getting done.

The wedding shoot was just over last week and we will be able to choose the photos we want this sat evening. Even the wedding invites are also ready for collection today.

M hotel kinda threw me a surprise that the protrait will not be available, so it will be changed to dinner for 2. Oh well, that would be good also, not like people wont get enough of my face that night. It will be e v e r y w h e r e. lol. The surprise part was that if I didnt call them, she wont tell me. like???? tell me before hand can? what if I'm a bride that is really p a r t i c u l a r?

There are of cos quite a tons of things left to do such as preparing items for Guo Da Li, Guestbook, trial makeup, montage, wedding car, music, adrian's tie, tying of wedding favors... and the list goes on. just that I cant remember them now.

On housing matters, we are approaching our 2nd appointment, hopefully we would have also engaged an ID and/or contractor to do our reno works by then, so that they can apply to HDB for the necessary hacking works. reno is expected to start on 26th Sept and move in is hopefully 1st Dec. 1012.. also like 2011 (play with 4D too much). [2011 is really our number, coincidentally my birthday is also similar 3012]

attending my first ever baby shower this sunday. Think we will be buying NTUC vouchers, so that the parents will have money to buy diapers and formula milk! practical gift... besides the child doesnt do anything but eat sleep poop, so our vouchers are really handy.

Bestie says it has been a great year for me. I would have to agree with her, what's not getting a promotion compared to all the other blessings I have so far?

Like my CFO says, "I believe that when we cultivate a thankful spirit, we are less prone to taking things for granted, less prone to comparing and complaining, and can handle troubles and crisis with better perspective. "

I must start cultivating this thankful spirit.

woke up to a shocking wadsapp message that I tot I was still sleeping... regardless what's done is done and i'm proud that my friend is already taking the next step to move on.

I think what both parties now is courage for closure especially for the one with the Y chromosome. Avoidance is a very childish act, I hope you find your balls soon and conclude everything so that my friend can leave you with as little incremental pain as possible.

To reward myself with the bonus

received my bonus letter yesterday, it was a pretty decent sum and so I thought since we have the spare cash and the spare time, why not take a look at the standalone cookers. And so we went!

Initially it was just a trip to see the real thing compared to seeing it on the webby. And also to understand more about the standalone cooker's functionality and all.

I initially wanted this:

The Diamonte Series. 5 gas stoves and 1 electric oven. For a price of $1900++ can get this and a free cooking hob worth $500. Not too bad a deal. So I thought ok we could get it, but but but the another cooker caught our attention.....

The americana series....

Sssslurpppppssss..... it totally looks more professional (nt that I am a chef) and looks more stable and chioooo. This alone costs........ (get ready for it) $3099.

Of cos there were pictures on the catalogues showing how different pieces from the brand can be put together to give a fantastic looking dream kitchen. And we were just sold on the spot, we had to get everything to together.. which includes:

a back splash, which I can then hang all my pretty wmf utensils. weeeee.... This one is $450.

and

we got a kitchen hob. Ok this one is free, worth $500. Comes with the package.

And so the price we had to pay was $3549. (Better make sure I cook, to make my money worth) We paid deposit of $1549 first and will be paying the remaining $2k in Sept. They will be keeping a set for us in the next shipment until delivery in December. (Sidenote: apparently standalone cookers are so coming back into trend now, so might as well be the first and buy when demand is low and price is also lower)

My bestie has got to be the most generous person in the world ever. Knowing that I could be a little financially tight to give myself a break from the wedding and housing prep, she treated me to lunch and massage plus scrub as part of my wedding gift! (everybody: awwww...) And so we decided to set out a day to be bestie day, hence 23/06 will hence become bestie day where we will take time off to pamper ourselves silly and be happy and relaxed.

That was on the way to bishan park while we were on the bus. Feels like we are back in school or something. ha. very nostalgic.

First up! Lunchie...

We had lunch at this place called canopy, its located just beside the spa.

The place has a nice ambience and you can almost feel that its a prelude to the spa already.

kinda looks like a typical anniversary photo... hey wad can I say? This is my first marriage you know! ahem....

After lunch and a good talk, we headed to spa!! mad excited lar.... its be A G E S since I last went okay.

I have never been to a garden spa ever ever before! This place is like a sanctuary outside the typical singapore. absolutely green and you feel luxurious without doing anything yet!

After we changed into our robes, we headed to a place like a hall/living room where we had some ginger tea....

spacious and Zen.... very nice.

Ok but before I could drink my tea at all, my therapist came to bring me away liao.. gua gua gua... and so she carried my tea and off we went...

bestie went for her massage and facial, while I went for scrub and massage.

This is my room! on the left is the open area shower, which I tried on after my scrub. It's a very special experience, one of a kind. The therapist was really nice, she added extra massage moves from other types of massages to try and relieve the tension on my shoulders.... its was kinda painful but after that the entire massage felt so good. I fell aslp on and off, which is quite rare for me during massages. So tis proves that its g o o d.

After the massage we got changed, drank tea and head out to serangoon where bestie then went kovan and I went back home before heading out for gown fitting again.

Anyway, so much about the spa experience. If you like it, should be able to google it easily. It's a nice place to try out. But wat I really want to say is that what I feel very fortunate to have jieying as my best friend ever. We gtalk everyday and we still have so much to say to each other the next day. We can tell each other everything and anything. We tell each other that we are gg to pee or shit and we wont feel that its oversharing. We can be very honest with each other and yet knowing the other person will not bear any grudges against the other. She was there for me whenever I needed her, breakup, crying, tok cock, shopping, proposal, gown fitting blah blah. I was there when she needed me, phonecalls, packing house, unpacking house, gown fitting blah blah blah.

There's so much to say but one thing for sure is that I love my best friend, Jie Ying.. xoxo! <3

Fun Filled week ahead.

You have no idea how long I have been waiting for mid week to come. Especially more so when I'm going to have events planned out from today till tuesday!

Firstly its wednesday, the gals are meeting up again. We had the last one during the end of last month during shirley's housewarming. Needed to meet up again as it was shirley's bday on father's day! We're going to meet today after work at Raffles City's Canele.

Thursday is BESTIE DAY. (bkgd music: Hallelujah x5~) Gonna be on half day as bestie is treating me to my first ever wedding gift from anyone! whoohoo! she's bring me to spaahaha~. Very excited leh. I've always thank god for bringing her to my life, someone who will always love me for me. After the spa, i'm going to Di Gio for another round of fitting for my MTM gown (I have lost any weight btw)

There's going to be a housewarming (ok the owner says its move-in warming) for adrian's bestfriend and his fiancee at their river valley 1-2 bedroom space on friday. Gotta collect the canepes which I ordered at the airport, unfortunately I might have a meeting outside the airport which means I have to travel all the way back just to collect it. thanks. -.-''

Saturday hubbie and I are going to e x e r c i s e. Maybe I should swim a little, tanner = slimmer (visually deceiving). Like wth, all the weight I lost came back already?? FML. Maybe we can go collect the NDP preview tickets as well.

As for Sunday, I guess I'll be gg home early again to make ondeh ondeh for my mom.... gua gua.

And for the first time ever no monday blues! because it is our first HDB appt. We're first timers so naturally the feeling is really exciting. But this also means that the monetary burden is going to further increase. oh well. a price to pay for to buy a house and make it a home right? At the same time we will be arranging with the ex-owner to bring Edmund (contractor) down to see the place and do give us a more accurate quote. Afte the appt, will be back to work for 2 hours and then off to take my 2nd injection for cervical cancer vaccination.

On tuesday my colleagues and I are gg to Bugis' Ma Maision to celebrate one of my colleagues bday and our theme is gg to be JAP. Pretty easy peasy right?

ondeh ondeh!

since my dad likes ondeh ondeh. Figured it would be a good time to make some for father's Day. Here's the ingredients and how to do it.... to make 35 balls of ondeh ondeh.

Ingredients

75g of sweet potato

125g of glutinous rice flour

25g of rice flour

pinch of salt

1 tbsp of veg oil

125ml of warm water

1/4 tbsp of green pandan coloring

150g of gula melaka

125g of grated white coconut

First up, peel and wash the sweet potatoes. I suggest to cut them into cubes rather than boiling them whole as smaller pieces means faster cooking. Boil them until they are soft.
Since the sweet potatoes will take some time to boil. this is a good time to finely chop the gula melaka into fine pieces. the finer the better since you can fill more into the ondeh dough without worrying that its in a weird odd shape and might leak while you boil the dough balls later on.

Once the sweet potatoes are soft it means they are ready. Place them in a large mixing bowl and add both the rice flours, salt and oil. Add in warm water a little at a time and knead well till a ball of dough is formed. Add the green colouring and mix well.

Yes you might take a little more effort than usual to get the dough into this texture. Its good exercise really. Not easy at all!

Roll a little dough in your palm to form a ball with diameter about the size of a 50cent coin. If you are into the measureing mood, then its 10g to make a small ball. Make a well in the middle of the ball and fill it with gula melaka. Pinch it to seal it, then roll into a ball again. Repeat with the rest of the dough.

In a pot of boiling water, cook the ondeh ondeh.....

until they float.. Remove and drain the excess water.

Gently coat the ondeh ondeh with the grated coconut leave it to cool and little and then serve!

Glad to say that this dish was a success for a time making it. =)

my dream home

Meeting edmund this sunday. Very excited about creating our dream home. I hope the style that we want won't be too difficult to achieve.

Here's just a couple of photos of the style we like in our home.

This may not be materialised as a frame like this is pretty expensive and since our current frame is only a year old and it does have some country taste to it. we'll b keeping it and just replacing the mattress.

I've always wanted clean sofas, wooden coffee tables with white legs. crisp, clean and country. perfect! ..... with lots of pillows!
of cos the kitchen is the place which I have most requirements and it happens to be the area that I am most indecisive about. But the idea is smtg like the above picture. White cabinets with stand alone stove and oven and of cos the typical deep large white basin!

We found a clearance basin at $299 for the kitchen, its not the basin but we could potentially make do with it but we'll decide this weekend.

Makeup

the first time I seriously did my own makeup was when I was around 15years old. more impressively I plucked my own brows since I was 13! i've never let anyone else touch my brows ever since. I'm actually quite proud of my eye brow plucking skills and my make up skills. Well if anyone is every interested, then i'll put up an entry on make up drawing.

For now, its just going to be about the products that I use.

Ok I dun think my eyes are big enough, so rather than going under the knife or anything, I just visually make it bigger by wearing big eye contact lenses.

I usually wear the grey ones as they match my features and they especially match my hair and brow color which are black.. very very black. For most people brown is their natural color, but for me because my hair and brows are so black, grey is my most natural color.

After I put my lenses, then I will go on to prep my face. toner, moisturiser, sunblock. they came after lenses cos I cant be bothered to walk out and wash my hands then wear my lenses after all this prep.

Ok next is the real start of make up:
BB Cream. I've been using Legere BB Cream for about 4years now. Legere BB Cream was the first ever BB cream that is launched, its the grandma of all BB creams. When it first came out, I had to spend a whooping $40+ for it. But now its a very affordable 20tish. This is also my probably 4th tube already.

I like this brand because it doesnt make my face white, rather it makes my complexion appear to be more evenly toned.

I personally think makeup base or bb cream is very important especially if you dont have even toned complexion. A good painting needs a good canvas, so a good makeup look will need a good face canvas. Making the complexion smooth and evenly toned is hence very important and bb creams/makeup base can achieve this look.
I used to use Bobbi brown blemish stick to cover/heal my blemishes. But I havent been using them for a couple of years for 2 reasons, my face is pretty much blemish free and the product is discontinued.

Hence, I then went on to use Bobbi brown foundation stick. It has a good coverage and its easy to apply.

The I use Bobbi Brown foundation AGAIN. this time is the powder version, I always like my face to look more matt and the foundation stick is more wet look, hence I use the powder over it to achieve the matt look. Alternatively loose powder is ok.

With 13 years of experience, i'm comfirm an eyebrow plucking and drawing guru. my brows (i think) are my pride and joy.

I've tried so many eyebrow pencils and I think ZA eye brow pencils are by far the best. They are not too dark and they are not invisible. Their grey colored pencils draws very natural bows. Like I say my natural hair is very black, so I cant use brown to draw browns. Grey is my color and so this is very very natural.

Make sure you dont buy a pencil that is as dark as your hair color if not you will look too stern. get one that is like 1-2 shades lighter than your hair and you can get very natural colored brows.

After brows, we move on to the windows to our face! The eyes! Actually I'm the most busy with my eyes, cos there are so many things one can do with the eyes in make up. But for me, i usually go with eyeliner and mascara and i'm ready to go. prefer nude look.

Anyway I use the K Palette eyeliner, I've used TONS of eyeliner as well. This k-paletter one smudges very little and it lasts the whole day. But its not exactly a tattoo like it used to be, its easy to remove with cleansing oil.

Next, clip the eye lashes to make them stand and open up your eyes. After using chapalang types of eyelash clippers, shu uemura's really really is the best. It fits asian eyes (at least for me) really well. xo max.

Next is clinique defining mascara introduced to me by bestie which is a really good mascara that gives a very define and natural look, doesnt smudge and is easily removed by warm water.

Unfortunately, this mascara has discontinued, in its place is another one which is also removable by warm water and wears for 24hours. However, the new one's function is volumising, its in a white tube and silver cap. I might try it one day.

My fear of pigmentation is quite deep, hence I only use mineral blushers which will not cause pigmentation. Just received another tub from bestie cos she says she doesnt know how to use it. haa. thanks babe!

I love pink blushers. Cos I'm pretty fair and majority of my makeup is already grey and grey and my hair is so black, peachy colors will not stand out and I might look sallow. I prefer the pink of health look.

Ok! so the above completes my COMPULSORY LOOK.

There are some makeup items below which I use occasionally.

My 25th bday present from fang! It's a very beautiful palette of 4 eye shadows from Chanel. Very versatile colors, I've tried all except the shimmering black, cos I havent had much talent with smokey eyes. -.-''' But this palette is good because it can bring a look from day to night. excellent set.

God knows when I bought this. But I love it. I usually use this Bobbi brown highlighter over the bridge of my nose to make my nose appear sharper and hence make the face a wee bit more 3D. The beauty is that this can also be used as an eyeshadow as a highlighter and the dark tones can be used as a bronzer! This was a super worth buy, ltd ed as well!

I do use fake eyelash at times for events which needs more glam or just on a day that I woke up early and have time for makeup. haha.

my preferred glue is Duo adhesive, there's dark and white colored. both are just as good. psst! I just realised MAC also uses this glue. haha.. shows that my expectation of a product is pretty good too! haha.

Of cos fake eyelash. I have a total of 8 boxes of them. 5 of which the lash bones are a wee bit hard so I have stashed them somewhere I can never find them. The remining 3 boxes are currently used.

It is important to find an eyelash that has a firm lash bone and not hard because when the lashes poke the edge of your eyes, its super painful and irritating.

I personally like criss cross lashes and those that kinda look like human lashes as they are more natural. those with 5 thick separate lash and then small lash in between kind are so not natural but i dun deny they can be glam.

Facial Regime

I suggested to jieying and fang that we should do up a blog entry abut the facial products which we use daily. The girls are so efficient, they have already blogged, so I decided to be a wee bit more motivated and blog too. So here I am at 1.16am, blogging about my facial regime (supposed to wake up like 8am to send annabel to the airport. zzz.

Anyway here goes:

All facial regimes will start of with cleansing, there are many types of cleansers, however I have 2 preferences, cleansing oil and cleansing milk.

I have been using Shu Uemura Cleansing oil for a long time, this is already my 3rd bottle. It cleanses really thoroughly and my face doesnt feel oily.

But of cos being the paranoid I can be, to ensure that I remove all traces of makeup, I double up my cleansing with a milk cleanser. This kickass sized bottle which usually lasts me about 1 year plus. Bought it from my mil. Its made in Italy, usually only beauty salons sells this brand.

About 2-3 times a week I will also scrub my face in an attempt to try and remove any clogs. I currently use 2 different products, depending on my mood. ha.

Kose's exfoliating massage gel is a black gel with scrub beads, the texture is a little gluey and when massaged on face, it produces a very mild warm sensation (to try open pores) and then scrubs out clogs. This is my 3rd tube, love it.

The other one I use is this:

Recommended by makeupstash, so I bought it. only $9.90 from Watson's. The scrub beads are quite a bit and they are of the right size and texture, not too rough. However, my face felt a little too clean (imagine the sound a super clean plate makes, ek ek ek), which has a tendency to make me feel like its dries my face. But overall the feeling is pretty good.

After washing face, of cos have to use toner right? i have 2 toners, 1 from Lauranette (which I dun hv a pict now) and there other is from Laneige.

Really like this toner because it helps to further remove any more traces of makeup (as if never cleanse enough) and also it helps to whitening my complexion.

After toner I will usually use the product which I want to absorb the most first. Since my face is dry, i use the a serum/an essence as a first layer.

I've been using the water bank essence for many many years, i'm currently at my 6th bottle already. I usually use it as a moisturizer before makeup as it gives my face sufficient water to remain supple and yet it is not oily.

Well since I'm preparing for my wedding, in a bid to try to remove any extra facial fats (?!) I'm using Clarins facial shaping cream.

Bestie introduced this to me, and it has worked for her. I've tried it and it has also somewhat worked for me as well. So i'm gg to continue using. Tml i'm gg to transit to buy another bottle since the one at home is finishing and that'll b my 3rd bottle.

I'm not really a fan of eye creams cos I dun really have eye bags, dark eye cirles, fine lines around my eyes (hao lian hao lian). I do thank god for it but of cos I dun exactly take it 100% for granted. Occasionally, I do use eye creams.

I'm currently using this from SK-II. Take a wee bit more time to get absorbed and will feel a lil like sticky, but I dun really care cos I dun use often and I didnt want to waste money to buy another eye cream as they are easily the smallest bottled/tubed item and yet they are pricey.

There is one other extra item that I use occasionally too.

This vitamin C booster serum can help remove dead skin cells and help to reveal blemish free, luminous and youthful skin. I've been using it and the effects are pretty good though I used them only a couple of times. Perhaps I should start using it more regularly. Bot 2 bottles of it during a laneige sale, it was like 70% of its original price.

At the end of the whole facial regime, before I sleep, I will always use a night cream.

I'm currently using Dr LaurAnne's product White Night. I've used this since I started gg for facial cos its actually a night cream for spotted skin, It will help to push some oil out from the face while feeding water to the face. After applying the face looks oily but the texture is actually very smooth and not oily at all.

Well last but not least, on top of every girls' regime is Mask! Of cos I do use paper mask like my beauty diary etc. However on less lazy days I will usually prefer to do cream masks and wash them off.

Again, this is another product from Dr LaurAnne. The oxy mask will help to feed oxygen to the face and whitens the face at the same time. Face is usually very supple after the mask and I always look like snow white after that. Super uber fair.

Sunday Brunch

Had Sunday brunch at arteastiq yesterday. It is located at mandarin gallery. The ambience is relaxing and special, makes the patrons feel a lil posh and relaxed.

I bought 2 vouchers from bigdeal. think it was about $16+? In each deal, we can pick a tea: of cos not limited to fruit tea, there is also flower tea and japanese tea. p/s bestie : got your fave barley tea.

There are 5 choices for the main course, but the names are too long for me to remember, pictures to see the portion later...

and of cos, a scoop of ice cream.

Our pick:

Mine was pear tea with real pear inside, the biscotti is damn good...

Hubby's was lychee tea with whole lychee pieces... not the bits kind.

Hubby's main: duck breast with lettuce, red chilli in a crepe kinda thing. The french onion soup is ohsogood! Got parsley inside, hubby bth. but the overall taste is still good.

Mine was smoked turkey with apricot, cheese and lettuce. it was nice!

ice cream: very small only. but favor was good.

lychee martini sorbet. err. must eat quickly. melts quite fast. haha... like all sorbets.

Maoshanwang: damn nice..... slurps. very think and so real.

Though the food serving seems like not filling but we did feel full at the end. The ambience was bright and nice. The deco was special. Likey that place. It's a pretty good place to have sunday brunch....

p/s: walked around mandarin gallery after that. wild honey was so packed. shall go and try one day. This ramen shop also full like mad. i wanna try too... eat eat eat.. terrible.

Weekend

Canon IXUS 220 HS Q-ed 3.5hrs for this baby to buy it at 50% its retail price $399. I was a tired but happy person. The specs was pretty good I must say, still got full HD vid recording somemore. The most shiok part was that the response time between me pressing the "take" button and it actually taking the photo, is so much shorter than my blue olympus. The blue baby still works, hence looking to donate to my brother.

Supposed to take photos of houses to test out the photos, we ended up with an impromptu trip to the botanic gardens instead. which in my opinion was actually a much better choice since there was so much nature to take and it was so much more colorful. Photos to come soon.

Watched rach's wedding videos. it kinda makes me increasingly nervous about my own. There's so much left to do and I'm not doing anything about them. haha. Perhaps I should start making the corsages for the girls and to get that really big guest board. Maybe I should change my plans tonight and get hubby to drive me to godma's and ask her for help with the hair accessories and hubby's tie. still nervous.

photoshoot coming up in 2 months time... not ready. haha. still happily enjoying eating. oops. terrible.

after cambodia

Its been a couple of days since our return from cambodia. Made our suits and gowns. Bot tons of dvds. bot lots of clothes. bot lots of other things.

only went back to work for 2 days, since our flight was delayed for 5hrs plus during our return. I had no strength to get to work the next day. took mc. slept till late afternn.

first saturday since our return. only stepped our for dinner. the rest of the day, we watched dvds of ghost whisperer and checked our interior designs for our new home. hubby has taken up the duty of drawing the floor plan while i look at country designs on www.

pretty excited as we are gg to meet edmund of DX interior in 2-3 week's time, to get quotations. So far 1 quote from contractor and it doesnt look cheap. trying so hard to cross my fingers to see if we can keep to a 30k budget. sounds really tough but. tight budget forces people to think out of the box! so we are gg to try our best to keep to the budget!

p/s: hubby's suit was ready 2 days ago. wth. that's mad fast! bet my curtains will come back soon too! =D

Low: Vote WP so 'power stays with the people'

LTK is a fierce speaker and a lao ah beng that has captured the hearts of the heartlanders in the areas that the WP are contesting.

But I look left, right, up and down. I still cannot see how this man and his party is:

1) able to deliver and bring our Parliament standards to that of "First World" because Hokkien doesnt get you anywhere in communicating with the First World leaders.. they don't understand.

2) able to look after their GRCs because he has not revealed their 5 year plans for Aljunied nor have they done alot of upgrades for Hougang

But issues such as the rising cost of living, housing prices and healthcare costs showed that the PAP has 'disconnected' itself from the people, Mr Low said.

To a certain extent I agree with this statement but he is blindsided to the fact that world prices also have a part to play, rise in cost of living - singapore relies heavily on imports, When the price of a product from overseas increase, the increase in cost will be passed on to consumers locally.

Rise in housing prices - raw materials like sand have increase over the years and true enough the prices even for BTO flats are comparable to resale flats (without cov). Looking at different angles, yes the govt could have set rules when it comes to trading of flats and they could have sold the flats to us just slightly above cost price. (which I will be damn happy) On the other hand, singaporeans being singaporeans will just eat the system, since BTO so cheap, then we ALL go and apply and buy, then we SELL after that with COV. sibei song. So in the end, its us we have to blame.

Rise in healthcare cost - No one want to be nurse. All the doctors like own practice. Singapore got no space. All these reduce the supply and increase foreign talent. If you take econs u will noe a shift in the supply curve will jerk the price up and it cost more to take in / hire foreign talent. Then Singapore the land so small where to build somemore hospital. (take away golf course lah, for christsake its not a sport, its a sprainyourback activity) So everything increase price. And whoever goddamn idea of hospital at the void deck, should just go and eat slugs.

But all these things does not mean that the govt has disconnected from us. It just means that they need better ways to tackle these problems. It's 2 very different things lor.

Read this article "PM says sorry over mistakes, pledges to do better" on straits times online today. In a nutshell, he is basically apologizing for escape of detained terrorist Mas Selamat Kastari and the massive Orchard Road floods and also acknowledged that the Government could have moved faster to address shortfalls in housing and public transport.

1) Escape of detained terrorist Mas Selamat
Self explanatiory, if you take moral education, I think that the govt does have a major slip up in this area and they have taken the due responsibility for it. so next!

2) Orchard Road floods
Like Daniel ong and his wife Jamie Teo said, even though there is a chance that the the drainage system is clogged, nature plays a bigger part. Ya la, people will say, should have send more people to clear the drainage what?! How often you want them to clear sia? It's like washing your hair, there is only so many times you wash a day right?? For a drainage system you cannot expect people to clear on a daily basis. God knows how big or complex the drainage is and it is so not efficient. You think its like the cleaning aunty that clears your dustbin everyday so easy meh?

3) Shortfalls in housing
Short fall has driven the prices of housing up, this is further worsened by the increase in demand, i.e. lose-lose situation. Though economic forces should be left alone and in place to progress the economy, I do not deny and somehow agree that the govt should have implemented some other measures like e.g. limit the COV to a range of 5-10% of the valuation of the flat or some other measure to help. On the other hand, like my previous entry, we should also look at our own circumstances as well. Should we blame the govt entirely or should we also blame ourselves for our inability to afford a roof over our heads?

4) Shortfalls in public transport
Other than losing out the BTO thrice, I am also a victim to short fall in public transport. Gotta squeeze like a mad woman and then when the alarm that the doors are closing rings, I also have to fear that the door will not chop of my boobs or my nose. There should be increasing public transport frequencies during office hours.

I seriously think what went wrong here was the initial budgetting. They should have taken a more prudent approach and obtained more accrurate estimates for it. If you look at the normal spending for an Olympics event. I think its a pretty decent amount!

It is somewhat heartwrenching that the PM has to apologize to Singaporeans about the slips up. It takes 2 hands to clap but ignorant Singaporeans are only looking to blame the factor which is tangible, e.g. weather vs govt. of cos blame govt, if not blame ti gong / dua peh gong / guan ying ma meh?! sibey funny lor.

Another article "George Yeo wants WP to show plans for Aljunied GRC". Some moron wrote, "Let's be fair ! If the PAP can hang carrots like building more amenities , lift upgrading etc , then the opposition has the liberty to call on voters to first elect them and then they would reveal their plans for the GRC . Why should they reveal their plans during the rally or walkabout , only for the PAP to shoot them down or bombard them ?"

Another bird brainI Everyone is SUPPOSED to reveal the plans for the GRC leh, how can people make informed decisions on who to vote if they don't say what are they gg to do for the GRC? that's bullshit la. Another one under "Why so reluctant to discuss local issues, asks George Yeo". THE Workers' Party's seeming reluctance to engage on local issues is making the People's Action Party's (PAP) team leader in the hotly contested Aljunied GRC George Yeo 'very uncomfortable'. Local issues like solving the residents' daily problems and improving facilities for them are 'very important things' which he said his Workers' Party opponents, led by Mr Low Thia Khiang, have been steering clear of, focusing instead on national issues, like calling for a 'First World Parliament'.

Two things:
- I personally agree with GY. I am an individual and I'm not afraid to say that I care for myself FIRST. If the GRC takes cares of my needs first (which impacts me more directly than indirect national issues) then that's good isnt it? Not that national policies are not important but seriously majority of humanity is not so wei da, don't go and act all Mother Theresa...
- Like i tell bestie, I dun want a first world parliament that is so freaking bengish and speaks singlish and hokkien. (anyway, WP go and contest bukit timah for what? all the rich people are cultured and speaks proper english one, no one will appreciate your hokkien) Not saying that LTK is not good but seriously go and contest somewhere else where PAP is lacking a good GRC leader leh. spoil market.

And then there was "Plans to go ahead even if PAP loses: George Yeo". Mr Low had said that voting for the opposition did not mean having to make a choice between issues such as estate upgrading and a desire for greater checks on the ruling party's power in Parliament.

Seriously cant believe this statement by LTK. I went back to Hougang Ave 2 where I used to stay last weekend for dinner. The place looks exactly the same 10 years ago before I moved out. The play ground was the same, the bus stop was the same, even the building color was still the same. "did not mean having to make a choice between issues such as estate upgrading" is so not true. If you vote you are talking about upgrading. And anyway he can bring up such a statement also because look at how well Aljunied GRC has been upgraded? Of cos no need to upgrade any more if WP take over la.. sibei clever.

Anyway I'm having much agitation over the hot seat in Aljunied because
1) I'm going to be in Aljunied GRC at the end of the year but now I have no say who I want to take care of my needs in that estate. FML big time. Worse still, people who are gg to move out of Aljunied are going to bombard my life there. nb.
2) As much as prior to the last election, GY hasn't been doing much for the GRC. Look at how much has changed since their marginal win. It proves that things can be done and done well under him.

Stupid election

I've been trying to cover myself with wedding and renovation matters, all in a bid to avoid the election talks.

Don't deny I kinda heck care about it but at least I don't go around and influence people about why support PAP, why support opposition, too many if you don't want this better vote opposition, if you vote PAP you will continue suffering.

Yes I agree that housing prices are unreasonable. I've watched enough tv to know that 1.5 million pounds can get you a place the size of 166 units of 5Rm HDB flats. Either you live or you move out? Unfortunately I dun have enough to move out so I'm going to pay for the expensive housing. Why? Because everything I have and want is here at home. Hubby. Family. Bestie. Friends. Lil viv, Love, Bonito, food etc. And everything I dun want is not here: natural disasters, racism, hyperinflation, corruption etc. so LAN LAN pay lor...

Fren: "see PAP is no good, they didnt give you a flat. you should go vote for nicole seah"Me: "One, I already got a flat. Two, nicole seah cant guarantee me a flat anyway. (in my mind) Three, she got no eyes, no double eyelids and weird eyebrows"

If its like LTK or CST I wil be able to support them. But NS and TPL are just too young! Seriously would a 24 year old think for the country rather than her personal matters? hard to believe lor.. girls are always girls.

Anyway my OWN view is that:

1) Everything is all talk now (whether PAP or opposition), how can we be so sure that either party we vote are gg to fulfil what they say they are going to do? How much faith do you have with a party that has not done anything yet? How can we be sure that PAP is going to bring Singapore down? See track record please.

2) Bringing in the 20yearoldplus nominees is as much a good means to connect with people our age. But seriously, arent they too young to think what is good for Singapore? I dont buy the fresh blood talk in the political arena.

) Mad paiseh that people vote for opposition not cos of the manifesto, but cos they dun like PAP. Like?? You sure you are someone who has read and considered all the options?

My bimbo view says that: I don't even blardi have time to pack my luggage, do things for our wedding, planing our reno, arrange to make curtains for my mom, help my sister for her 21st bday, finish my work. Where to find time to get irriated by people who are irritating?

It was a mad enjoyable day.

Goody Bag

To commemorate CAG for improving our staff benefits, they have given us a nice little goody bag: a real cereal, a fake milk and a luggage!

Inside the luggage was cutesy little stationeries. love! but y blue leh friend. Corporate color is purple leh.

Anyway pretty glad with the enplacement exercise, this means that my pay is higher and also my bonus is higher, which means I have more cash for honeymoon and (notthereyet) house.

Taking about house, honey and I have been going for Italian food like almost every other day for dinner. We had italian at like so many places and one of them was near the prestigious private estates at Bukit Timah area.

Honey knows how freakinggoddamnmuch I Loveeeee to see houses. So after dinner, as a standard procedure, we always drive around to see the landed properties. With so much inspiration, we have decided to work really hard so that we have cash for investments and business ventures, so that in 10 years time, we can own one of these landed properties. =D The slightest thought of it just makes all the hard work even enjoyable (even if mrs tang at the background disturbing me like siao).

With this new financial year, I will look forward to a better pay package, better bonus, fab wedding and hopefully a simple home to last me 10 years.

In the next financial year, I will look forward to promotion and honeymoon.

Now that's a plan! =)))

2 news. The good one: I have been with CAG for a year! I can now officially use my study leave to take my CPA exams. but it is still... err.. subjected to my CFO's approval. lame. The bad news: Super tired. Cos of financial year end. was telling bestie about terrible mrs tang. tsk her! times infinity. Gave me so much LAST MINUTE work. But me ever being so efficient, of cos I got it all done! That includes a blardi reconciliation which was back dated till corporatisation days! Now take that you tsk! So going to leave work ON THE DOT today.
